Penco has developed
PowderCoatplus, an optional cost-effective way of improving the
durability and rust resistance of steel lockers.
PERFORMANCE
Tests have
shown that PowderCoatplus dramatically outperforms liquid painted
electro-galvanized steel in salt spray tests and impact tests, these
are the most widely accepted tests for paint durability.
STEEL PREPARATION
Prior to
painting, the steel receives a superior cleaning and pretreatment
to remove lubricating oils and to assure a lasting bond between the
paint and steel. Penco's steel preparation systems are electronically
monitored with the latest technology to consistently obtain optimum
adhesion.
THICKER COATING
A 2 mil thick coating of powder coat enamel is applied by state-of-the-art
equipment in an atmospherically controlled chamber, and is then baked at
400 degrees.
RESULTS
Powder
coat paint is far more environmentally sound than wet systems, and
is capable of producing a thicker coating without runs or drips.
It adheres to edges better, looks great and it is friendly to the
environment.
